My elderly parents have had cause to use St Albans Removals twice in the last few weeks and on both occasions we have found them to be outstanding. Alfie and his team were very accommodating and understanding in assisting with an internal move of furniture and rapid rearranging of a bedroom from upstairs to downstairs when it was required at short notice and also transporting items to the south coast. Both jobs were done quickly, without fuss and Alfie kept in touch with my family and was reassuring throughout at what was already a stressful time. Our fixed rate did not stay fixed, they asked for more cash despite not moving white goods, nothing from the loft and the help that we chipped in.

Alfie and his team are super helpful, professional, quick and experienced in dealing with sofas and sofa removals. He and his team were able to collect my corner sofa from London and bring it to St Albans. They provided constant updates and wrapped the new sofa carefully with dust sheets. They removed an old sofa through a juliette balcony and lifted it down to the ground level. My new sofa would not get past the first turn of stairs and effortlessly they hoisted the new sofa from the ground floor to the first floor and into my living room. Throughout, Alfie was calm and collected. He knew exactly what he had to do. Alfie and his team are super helpful, professional, quick and experienced in dealing with sofas and sofa removals.

We were looking for a removal company at relatively short notice. Alfie was able to come round give a fixed price quote for our removal and followed up with good responsive communication by phone. We went for a packing and removal service. Alfie and his team came round the day before our move and did a swift job of packing up the bulk of our items, including the things we had stored in the loft.



On the day of the move the team arrived on time and efficiently packed the rest of the items including two items of large furniture which needed dismantling. They got us out for the moving deadline with minimal stress.



Our move was only 5 minutes up the road and they were waiting to go once we got the keys and set about unpacking and reassembling furniture. They listened to where we wanted the items to go and they asked when not sure. Everything was unpacked within a few hours so we could start settling in.



All in all I would recommend this company for removals. They do a good job and at good value. No items were broken or lost and the reassembled items are as they were in the old house. Alfie was polite and easy to talk to and always kept us informed.

The team turned perfectly on time the day of the move and even when they realised we had more stuff than quoted they just cracked on and got things done.
